Gene Papin started woodworking as a hobby nearly thirty years ago.  At that time, his early projects were mainly devoted to making toys for his three young children.  After he retired from education, he was able to concentrate more fully on woodworking – this time focusing mainly on turning wooden pens.  Over the next few years, Gene developed an interest in doing scroll work and set out to learn how to use the scroll saw to produce various works of art.  This interest would eventually turn into more than a hobby, becoming what is today known as PapinCraft.  Through word of mouth, his scroll saw artwork has steadily grown in demand throughout Northwest Ohio.

Although he produces a wide variety of scrolled items, including personalized key rings, puzzles and notepads, Gene’s specialties are his commissioned portraits and pictures.   In addition to these items, his inventory includes many seasonal and/or holiday items such as Christmas ornaments and nativities.

PapinCraft.com offers a sample of Gene’s unique artwork in wood.  Please take a look in each of the Gallery rooms.  Perhaps something will catch your eye.  If so, contact Gene Papin.
